Exercise of the Month

Adductor lifts (inner thigh)

If you want stronger, toned thighs, this is the exercise for you.
Lying on your side, put one ArcaRay under the foot of the leg you are lying on, and pull up on the handles to create tension.  Resting on your elbow, slowly raise your foot, with the heel towards the ceiling as high as you can comfortably go.  Slowly lower down.  Repeat 12 times each leg.

Begin by standing and balancing on just one ArcaRay.  Next step?  Balance with two feet on top of two ArcaRays.   It is great for hands-free balancing at your stand-up desk!

Balance on the arch of one foot on top of the ArcaRay.  It feels great and immediately begins safely challenging your balance! 

Just take one single ArcaRay, drop it to the floor, and with one foot stand on top of it.  That’s it!

Vision is Related to Balance

Problems with the delicate component of our eyes can lead to dizziness and loss of balance.

Check your balance:

  • Stand on one foot, (near a counter or strong chair to grab just in case you wobble).
  • Cross your arms over your chest and then close your eyes.
  • Time yourself.  Right foot first.  Then left foot.
  • If you score less than 30 seconds balancing on one foot without swaying or wobbling, you should continue to work with your ArcaRays to easily improve your balance.
  • No one can do it but you!
